----Kildwick to Low Bradley Circular---- Curlew Trail

Approach Kildwick from the Skipton Keighley Road, pass through the tunnel under the aquaduct that carries the canal, park at the small car park on right.

Walk along the Canal towards Kildwick, visit the Lang Kirk ( St Andrews ), then along the towpath, past bridges 186 and 187 until you get to Grange swing bridge(188). Cross this bridge, now walk up the path past the stoop to the gate which opens to the road. Turn left then just before Kildwick Grange turn right and proceed up a signposted footpath, walk up beside the stream, continue through a gate and over the stile in the wall on the left. The next stile is on the right at the other side of the V shaped walls, over this then follow the wall on the left to a stile at the junction of walls. Walk diagonally across a field, over two stepped stiles, then on to pass disused Little Stack on your left, meet the road, turn right.( You can walk down the road here back to the canal )

Pass Great Slack and take the stile on the left. Keep the wall on your right to a ladder stile, over this and continue across a field to the next stile. Continue to the right of a small wooded area to a gap stile, then through a field to a step stile in the corner.

Over this stile walk along with the wall on your right, then over the next stile, still by the wall, and the pathway now has a downward angle. Pass through a stile which is to the left of a gate, now on to a metalled track, past Lower Sire Bank Farm, turn right to Jackson's Lane. Over the stepped stile on your left, then walk across a V shape between two walls, over another stile, then walk along the side of a wall, turn left and walk down to a gate, over the gate, keep the wall on your left. Pass through a gate, over a stile, then walk along a metalled track into Low Bradley.

Take a break by the Canal Bridge at Low Bradley, where there are seats and a fine view across the Aire Gap. Walk back to Kildwick along the canal towpath. Near Kildwick take a look at the new memorial to Polish aircrew killed in a crash during the Second World War. The plane crashed just by the canal, the memorial owes much to the local people who worked for its completion.
